The Oregon Museum of Science & Industry is a non-profit museum located in Portland, Oregon. OMSI is an independent scientific, educational, and cultural resource center dedicated to improving the public’s understanding of science and technology. At the OMSI Science Store we have a large selection of fun and educational products that are designed to inspire your curiosity and imagination. All proceeds of your purchase in the OMSI Science Store benefit the Museum's mission of science education.
Member Discount
OMSI Members receive a 10% discount on most items purchased online, except for gift certificates, memberships, and Science Store Specials (on-sale items). To apply your member discount to your order, please enter "member" in the "Coupon or Promotional Code" field during checkout. There is also a field during checkout where you'll enter your OMSI member ID number.

Online Science Store Specials
Please note that prices for special sale items listed on the home page of the online science store apply only when these items are purchased online. These sale prices do not apply to items purchased on-site at OMSI's Museum Science Store.
Warranties
At the OMSI Science Store we want you to be happy with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the product you receive, you may return unused or damaged items within 30 days of purchase for an exchange or credit card refund. Gift Certificates are not returnable. Videotapes and DVDs cannot be returned unless they are damaged in which case they can be exchanged for similar, undamaged product. Returns must be in original packaging with all parts included. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. However, if the return is the result of a mistake on our part, we will be happy to refund your shipping charges.
Shipping and Ordering
Shipping Schedule
Our goal is to ship your order within two business days from the date we receive your order. Orders that are placed after 2:00pm pst on Friday and over the weekend will be processed starting Monday morning, we will do our best to ship your order the same day if received before 2 PM.
Sorry, we do not offer Saturday delivery for any order placed on our website.
We are currently unable to ship purchases to Military addresses.
UPS will only deliver to a street address number, NOT a Post Office Box number (PO Box).
International or US Territory Orders
Sorry, we do not ship internationally or to US Territories. We will ship to Alaska and Hawaii. All taxes and duties are responsibility of the receiver.
Out of Stock Items
At the OMSI Science Store, we make every effort to keep all offered products in stock. However, in case we are unable to fill your order, we will contact you as soon as possible.
If an item ordered is out of stock, we can offer the following remedies:
- We can substitute another product for your order.
- We can ship your order at a later date, in which case you will not be charged until shipment.
- We can contact you when the requested item is back in stock.
Shipping Rates
We ship via UPS Standard Ground, 3 Day Select and 2 Day Air only. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout. All charges are based on weight.
Please note: Some second day or third day air shipment charges may be larger than the amount calculated at checkout, due to package sizes. If the actual shipping costs are different than the estimated costs, we will contact you to confirm the cost difference prior to processing your order.

Shipments to Hawaii and Alaska via UPS 2nd Day Air only. Please contact customer service for shipping quotes.
Purchase Orders
We accept purchase orders from accredited schools and government agencies. However, all purchase orders are subject to individual approval.
